A 31-year-old evangelist, Godfred Alorvordzi also known as Azagua, has been arrested in connection with a robbery attack.
He was caught by the police along with four others, Felix Dupe alias Gbaga, Raphael Agbo alias Aklikor, Edem Fiati alias Harder and Adzaho Evans, the owner of the Opel taxi cab used for the robbery.
YEN.com.gh understands that the robbers attacked the Kings Oil Filling Station at Peki-Wodome in the Volta Region on Wednesday, October 9, 2019.
According to the Volta Regional police commander, DCOP Edward Oduro Kwarteng, the suspects were picked up in the early hours of Thursday, October 10, 2019.
Per a report by dailyguidenetwork.com, he revealed that the National Police Control room received a distress call about the incident and swiftly deployed officers to the scene.
With support from the Peki-Wodome Neighbourhood Watch Committee, three of the suspects were arrested.
In other news, members of a church have been captured in a video repeatedly hitting the ground with brooms.
Information available shows that they are flogging poverty with the brooms.
YEN.com.gh is yet to confirm the name of the church or the identity of the leader.
The members are split into two groups; one half is inside a house that appears to be the church and the rest are gathered at the entrance.
