Following Kofi Kapito’s recent comment about GHOne Tv's Serwaa Amihere's backside, some Ghanaians have blasted the CEO of the Consumer Rights Protection Agency for his ''unacceptable'' remarks.
While on stage to present the award for TV Female Newscaster of the Year, Kofi Kapito took time to pass a comment about Serwaa Amihere’s butt.
''Serwaaa Amihere…look at your butt, nice,'' Kapito remarked.
The onscreen personality rightly took to her Instagram page to condemn Kofi Kapito's commentabout her.
''I had so much respect for Mr. Kofi Kapito. This is a classic case of sexual harassment. I’m appalled by his utterances. This was needless and completely disrespectful,'' Amihere said.
Serwaa Amihere’s closest colleague, Nana Aba Anamoah, also posted the short skit along with a caption to condemn Kofi Kapito.
''Unacceptable from Kofi Kapito,'' Nana Aba’s said on Instgram.
Some Ghanaians have also taken turns to call out Kofi Kapito.
Emmanuel Hanson wrote:''Was he nervous on stage? Was Daddy Kofi ready to trend and be the talk of town to change the conversation and shine from the awardees ? How on earth did he say that?,''
''The compliment wasn’t welcome @ all, I’m judging from your posture n facial expression♀️ Fact that u didn’t enjoy it makes it a #sexualharassment so #please cont. 2 fight 4 yourself some of us r with u paaa♀️,'' @Bee_Asuoden said.
@JoewackleGh wrote: ''Most media houses reporting on this serwaa amihere thing don’t get it. thy don’t see the problem with that culture. They don’t understand how problematic it is that a woman is sexualized on a platform that seeks to award her hard work throughout the year. that is our culture.''

Meanwhile, GHOne TV onscreen goddess, Serwaa Amihere, has expressed gratitude to her senior colleague newscaster, Nana Aba Anamoah, for establishing contact with her.
This followed the award she received at the just ended 2019 Radio and Television Personalities (RTP) Awards which came off on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).
The widely adored TV personality received RTP Female Newscaster Of The Year 2018-2019.
