Meet Zigi the dedicated Ghanaian nurse who risks his life to help others

YEN.com.gh has sighted a post of a male nurse carrying medical kits and supplies across a stream in a bid to reach out to people in deprived communities.

The male nurse, known as Zigi was seen in the photo carrying medical boxes crossing a stream to provide health care the people living in Juaboso District in the Ashanti Region Of Ghana.

Stephen Tsatsu Anyigba Jnr shared this heartwarming story in one of the Facebook groups called ‘Tell it all'.

This is what this gentleman goes through to deliver health care at the door steps of people living in his catchment area. This is not the first time he is doing this. Anytime it rains heavily, he has to waddle through this pool to enable him deliver health care. God bless you Zigi… Somewhere inside Juaboso District, he wrote.

According to Stephen Tsatsu, this is not the first time Zigi is risking his life every time there are heavy rains to save some people who might have fallen sick or have an infection.

This is purely an act of humanity and dedication to do what he has chosen to do.

In other news, Ghana’s Chief Justice has stated explicitly that the country needs quality lawyers and not many lawyers.

Reiterating her stance on legal education in Ghana, Sophia Akuffo said “I will stand here again and say we need quality lawyers, not mass-produced lawyers”.

Speaking at the 2019 University of Ghana Alumni Lectures, the CJ emphasized that it is better for Ghana to have a few qualified lawyers than many compromised lawyers.
