Former Arsenal, Man United striker branded unluckiest chap after getting injured after 55 seconds

Watford’s new striker Danny Welbeck may well be looking at himself as one of the unluckiest players around after he hobbled off injured after 55 seconds on Saturday, October 19.

Welbeck was making his third appearance for the Hornets since he made the switch from London side Arsenal, and injuries has been synonymous to his game since then.

The 28-year-old looked to have the perfect chance to stamp his mark against former London rivals Spurs on Saturday, but all did not go according to plan.

Welbeck went down only three minutes into the game, with fans taking to social media to say “they are not surprised”.

Needless to say, it was not a nice sight to see as one could clearly establish the disappointment in the England international’s face.

Welbeck missed majority of last season through a tedious ankle injury – a setback which looked to have sealed the fate of his Arsenal career.

In total, he missed 41 games during the 2018/2019 season.

This is the 12th injury of his Premier League career and Spurs fans could not help but have a dig at the chap for his misfortunes.

Welbeck will however be encouraged by his side's resurgence as the managed a 1-1 draw with Tottenham, who are struggling for form in the new season.
