Diminutive Kumawood actor Yaw Dabo has revealed that he nearly shot his father to death.

According to the actor, his father had abandoned him and his two other siblings when they were young.

The father, Dabo added, also left their mother, therefore, the mother had to suffer to raise all three of them single-handedly.

God being so good, Dabo is one of Ghana’s popular actors and has drawn his father’s attention to him.

Dabo said he has been able to make some money from his acting career and built a three-bedroom house for his mother.

His father, upon seeing the ‘wonderful’ work coming from Dabo has come to apologise and ask for forgiveness.

But the actor said he would have shot his father dead if he had the opportunity at that time.

Dabo made this revelation in an interview on Nhyira FM recently.

He was of the view that his father would not have bothered to look for him and the rest of the family if he had not striven to make a name in the movie industry.

“My mum recently called me seeking forgiveness and support for my father after he confessed his admiration of my hard work and talent in the movie industry."

“But I wonder if he would have made an effort to look for me if he had not seen me on TV,” Dabo stressed.
