While her performance itself was ordinary, she gained the headlines for the wrong reasons. She exposed underwear while performing.

Appearing on stage, Fantana decided to wear a shiny-looking mini dress which covered barely half of her big thighs and with every movement she made, she showed what was deemed to be her pants.

But in a statement released on Monday, October 21, 2019, Fantana has explained the circumstances leading such a wardrobe malfunction.

According to Fantana, it was not her pant but a sanitary pad she was wearing that showed during her performance.

In the statement sighted by YEN.com.gh, explained that her menstruation came 30 minutes

"Yes, my menses appeared 30 minutes to my performance and I had to put on a sanitary pad and still go on stage. Menstruation is not a shame and I urge all young women take a cue from my actions and not to let it stop them from doing anything they want to do," she said.

As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Fantana performed among other artistes like her label mate Wendy Shay, Kuami Eugene, Becca, KiDi, Jupitar, Epixode, Fameye, among others.
