Church members go 'crazy'; seriously cane the devil in recent chilling video

While it appears the spiritual connotation of why pastors of some churches ask their members to beat the devil with physical weapons remains unclear, the phenomenon has become a recurrent practice for most churches.

Hardly would a month go by without such a video surfacing online of church members either caning or beating the devil, who is supposed to be a spiritual being.

And if spiritual warfare is the counsel of the human mind including the human spirit by any other spirit than the Spirit of God, then beating the devil with a physical object is flawed, even for its symbolic essence.

While spiritual warfare goes beyond the spiritual counsel of the human mind and spirit, church members attacking the devil with a cutlass, a broom or cane is counterproductive.

A video of church members engaging in such an act in a recent skit has gone viral.
