Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has taken to social media to share awesome photo of him and his gorgeous wife Antonella ten years ago in Argentina.

Messi and Antonella met in Argentina after the Barcelona captain was introduced to her by a friend when he was just nine.

They both met in 1996, but their relationship did not start immediately as Lionel Messi had to leave Argentina four years later to join Barcelona La Masia Academy.

According to the report on UK Sun, their relationship actually started when an accident killed one of Antonella's close friends in which Messi traveled back to Argentina to console her.

Antonella and Messi started living together in 2010 before the FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

And in 2017, Messi and Antonella got married in a big ceremony and they are already blessed with three children Thiago, six, Mateo, four, and Ciro, one.

Earlier, YEN.com.gh had reported how Lionel Messi came out to reveal that he does not fancy the tag ‘god' despite the fact that his ardent fans are keen on giving him holy names to match his brilliance.

Messi has for years been tipped as the greatest player to ever grace the beautiful game and while he has closely been rivaled by Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo, some of his records are simply hard to match by any stretch.
