Good news: GES to begin posting teachers who passed 2018 licensure exams

- GES has stated that it is currently undergoing the process of posting teachers who successfully passed the 2018 Licensure Examination

- GES urged all teachers who would be placed to accept their place of posting, and serve in the best interest of Ghana.

- University graduates with Basic Education and Early Childhood certificates would be considered in this year's placement

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has stated that it is currently undergoing the process of posting teachers who successfully passed the 2018 Licensure Examination.

According to the GES, the postings would be completed and made public by end of November 30, 2019.

In a statement, GES noted that only persons who completed Colleges of Education and passed all necessary examinations in 2018 would be posted.

The GES also urged all teachers who would be placed to accept their place of posting, and serve in the best interest of Ghana.

“The GES reserves the right to post teachers to where their services are needed.”

The Ghana Education Service, however, stated that it would take into consideration University graduates with Basic Education and Early Childhood certificates.

GES further cautioned the general public to be wary of middlemen who promised to get them posting at a fee.

In other news, the United States of America is unhappy with Government of Ghana over the termination of the concession agreement with Power Distribution Services (PDS).

The US government in a statement described the action by the GoG as “unwarranted”.

The US through its Embassy in Accra insists the PDS deal was valid, despite government of Ghana saying it is fraudulent.
