The death of Hagar Obeng, a young Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) officer, has thrown social media into shock and mourning.
As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, Hagar who was only recruited in the GNFS about three months ago died in a gory motor accident on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.
While details of the accident had been scanty at the time of our report, latest information gathered by YEN.com.gh has revealed how the accident happened.
According to reports on social media sighted by YEN.com.gh, Hagar was stationed with the Techiman Fire station in the Bono East region.
On the fateful day, Hagar was off duty but had gone to her station to ask for permission to travel to Kumasi. She reportedly went to the office with her younger sister.
On their way from the office, they boarded a motorbike. Moments after joining the main street which leads to the main lorry station at Techiman, their motorbike collided with a tricycle, popular known as Pragya.
Hagar fell off the bike after the crash and a speeding ran over her head killing her instantly. Images from the accident scene sighted by YEN.com.gh show it was a really painful death for Hagar.
The younger sister of Hagar who was riding with her also suffered injuries and was reportedly rushed to a hospital for treatment.
