The flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has pleaded with Ghanaians and voters to give him a second chance to be president of the republic.
The former president who is seeking a comeback noted that he has learnt lessons and wants the opportunity to give Ghanaians hope again.
He said based on his experience and useful lessons he has learnt, he is the best person to take Ghana to the promised land.
“We are coming to give you hope and address your concerns and challenges because we feel your suffering and we believe in opportunity for all, not just a few as we are witnessing today,” Mr Mahama said on Wednesday, October 23 at the inauguration of the NDC’s manifesto committee in Accra.
The NDC leader also urged the manifesto team to do a thorough job that will provide policies which will address the “increasing hardship inflicted on Ghanaians”.
He also assured Ghanaians their manifesto when done will provide quality policies based on research from across the country, to serve the needs of the people.
“It will be a manifesto that will be the conclusion of a long, detailed consultative process involving broad interactions with our people, incorporating their concerns, their hopes and their aspirations.”

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Reggae and radio presenter, Blakk Rasta has described President Nana Akufo-Addo’s government as one that talks more than actually delivering the people from hardship.
He opined that NPP’s biggest achievement is gimmicks and lengthy talks which do not translate to anything meaningful.
