Ras Kuuku says he has kept beard and dreadlocks for 10 years

Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artiste, Ras Kuuku, says he has been keeping his dreadlocks and beard for the past 10 years

In an interview monitored by YEN.com.gh, the Puom Music president stated that no barber, razor or comb has touched his locks and beard since 2009.

Ras Kuuku said that his fans seem to love his beard and dreadlocks, with some even telling him that their hearts skip beats anytime they see his beard and dreadlocks

“Any person you see and your heart skips a beat, it means you love that person. This means that the people who see my beard and dreadlocks, and skip heartbeats are actually in love with the beard and the locks,” the ‘Wo’ hitmaker said.

Ras Kuuku also disclosed that he is a proud Rastafarian who believes in the “one true Emperor Majesty, Haile Selassie, crowned Prince and Regent of the Ethiopian Empire.”

Ras Kuuku recently released a 15-track album titled ‘Kuntunkununku’. The album features some industry greats like Samini, MzVee and Stonebwoy among others.

He has received multiple nominations in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) and has won multiple awards under BASS Awards.

He has also shared stages with international acts like Popcaan, Jah Vinci, Kranium and Alkaline among others.

In 2018, Ras Kuuku also released the remix for his ‘Wo’ hit song, which featured rapper Kofi Kinaata. The song enjoyed massive airplay on Ghanaian and international airwaves.
