Ghanaian ‘Highest’ rapper Sarkodie has been made the ambassador of the Year of Return 2019 by the government.
This was announced by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
In two photos seen by YEN.com.gh, Sarkodie was seen being honoured by the minister.

The event reportedly took place at the National Theatre.
The musician was also captured interacting with the minister.
His reaction as the announcement was being made shows that Sarkodie's is happy with the new appointment.

Meanwhile, Sarkodie trended massively in the news when he won the Best International Flow Award at the recently held BET Awards.
That was a new category and he happened to be the first winner, and of course, first African to win it.
He made a powerful but brief speech after being announced the winner, saying in part that: "This is the year of return. If you are thinking about going to Africa, make it a must to visit Ghana."
His remark stunned many people and drew long applause from the audience.
Perhaps, it could be due to his speech, decent personality, and achievement in the entertainment industry that earned King Sark, as he is affectionately called, the new post.

He has also been in the news following his successful "This is Tema Concert" held over the weekend of October 25.
There were thrilling performances and amazing moments, especially after Sarkodie's father joined him on stage during one of his performances.
Sarkodie was also in the news for confessing that he misses Shatta Wale and wishes to be friends with him again.
His daughter Titi has also grown so beautifully as shown in some fashionable photos published by YEN.com.gh recently.
