President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has rewarded the soldier who showed support for him by joining the social media craze in 2016, with enlistment into the Ghana Military Academy, to become a commissioned officer of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).

Corporal Osei Owusu, who is now Lieutenant Osei Owusu, was part of the 132 military officers, who graduated and were commissioned to become officers.
Ghanaians have criticised the GAF for not punishing g him for joining the social media craze in the build-up to the 2016 elections but punished another for commenting on a matter of national importance in the public domain.

Director of Public Affarirs at the GAF Colonel Emmanuel Aggrey-Quarshie, is on record not to have commented on the outcome of the investigations into the 'kalyppo' matter.
He rather came out to say that the investigations were over and Osei Owusu was going about his official duties.
According to Col Aggrey-Quarshie,, the soldier breached sections of the military regulations to show political support which is not accepted in the military.

In other news, Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene has once again been accused of stealing his new song Obiaato from another musician Kookoo.
In a video seen by YEN.com.gh on Instagram, Kuami Eugene denied ever stealing the song.
He stressed that he had never heard the song before until he released his and the accusations started flowing.
