Former member of Parliament, Fritz Baffour, who is also a journalist, has described the Parliament of Ghana as the biggest ‘comedy’ club he has ever come across.

He said he loved to combine his parliamentary work with his comedy because parliament, he believed, was the biggest comedy club he has ever come across.

Speaking at a recent forum at British Council, Fritz noted that as an individual who played close attention to human behaviour and their different behavioral patterns, he thought Ghana’s parliament was the best place for him.

He added that even though in the august house, those in favour and those opposing government business are seen clearly, parliamentarians work together at the committee stages.

He added that the childish behaviour by MPs was a way of showing off, something he was very much against when he was representing the people of Ablekuma South.

Ghanaweb.com reports that he said he had no option but to join his colleagues in order not to be called the ‘black sheep’.

“In Parliament, I was supposed to be the one with the deepest voice... so if I realize that we were being outshouted, I’ll join in the fray,” Baffour said with smiles.

In other news, former president John Dramani Mahama says he is the reason why Ghana’s economy is considered as fast growing in the world.

According to the NDC flag bearer, the Akufo-Addo administration is only reaping from his government’s “hard work”.

Addressing NDC party members in the UK, Mahama said the growth achievement which is being "trumpeted" by the Akufo-Addo government, came about as a result of his administration's sterling performance in office before the current government took over.
