Colin Kaepernick, a former NFL quarterback, recently spent his birthday feeding homeless people in California and giving them necessary items, in the company of his girlfriend.

According to a report by, the charitable act embarked on by the lovers got some other people on board, including the mother of a young man named Mario Woods, who was brutally murdered by five police officers.

Some of the items delivered to the homeless people were backpacks that contained socks, shampoo and deodorants.

The former NFL quarterback is known for his works of charity as he is also the founder of Know Your Rights Camp foundation.

According to the kindhearted young man who was celebrating his 32nd birthday, the murder of Mario Woods implanted the desire to perform more charity works much deeper in his heart.

Reports say that the recipients of the goodies were jubilant and immensely grateful for the act of kindness they received from Colin Kaepernick and his team.
