Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has revealed that she would want marijuana, popularly called ‘wee’ to be legalised in Ghana.
She said this needed to be considered because of the health benefits derived from that plant.
According to the actress, ‘wee’ has been found to be the only natural remedy for Glaucoma and so there is absolutely no problem if it is legalised in Ghana.
She was speaking in an interview contained in a video seen by YEN.com.gh circulating on social media.
“You know I have a glaucoma foundation…and as part of the research and others we found out that marijuana is the only natural remedy for Glaucoma. So it can be legalised for the health benefits,” Nelson said.
She added, however, that the only thing she has a problem with is the abuse of the plant.
“The only problem I think I have is when it is abuse. Otherwise, it is just fine,” the actress stressed.
Meanwhile, Yvonne has been in the news for her comments about politics and also condemning the way Ghana is being ruled by the NDC.
She said the youth are suffering and times are hard though the NPP promised Ghanaians good things.
In an earlier report by YEN.com.gh, the actress also declared her intention to go on a demonstration against President Akufo-Addo if things don’t change.
