- 49-year-old Jay Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, sent his VIP invited guests Rolex watches and Ace of Spades champagne as part of the invite

- Ace of Spades champagne costs R12 000 a bottle, while the watches are estimated to be worth around R590 000 a piece

Rich American rapper Jay Z has got social media buzzing after sending expensive Rolex watches as an invitation to VIP guests.

Jay Z is currently inviting family, friends and other top celebrities to his upcoming Shawn Carter Foundation Gala.

Among the invited VIP guests that Jay Z sent the flashy Rolex watches are producer Swizz Beatz and rapper Meek Mill.

They took to their Instagram stories to share their out-of-this-world invites.

Swizz Beatz wrote, “Levels. Hov is on another level with the invite game. It came with a Daytona Rolex and a bottle of Ace."

The social media streets were beyond impressed with singer Beyoncé Knowles' husband's gesture.

The Shawn Carter Foundation announced Grammy-winning singer and Swizz Beatz's wife, Alicia Keys, as the performer for the evening.
