According to him, the allegations leveled against him would neither gag him or break him down.
Emerging from the Kaneshie District Court where he was arraigned, in the morning of Wednesday, November 6, 2019, he vowed to defend his name to the end.
“Nobody should involve me in any coup”, he told the media, pointing out that his so called ‘Whatsapp connection’ to the alleged coup is baseless and unrelated, and “I’ll stand for this. I’ll stand for this till the end.
They cannot break me down at all, and I’m as strong as anything. Thank you very much for your support, thank you very much, thank you”, he said.
He was invited for interrogation and later detained over claims that he was involved in the alleged coup plot.
Private legal practitioner and legal representative of ACP Dr, Agordzo said he believes his client being named one of the alleged coup plotters is simply a political witch hunt.
This according to him, this was because of his famous presentation at the Institute for Democratic Governance (IDEG) where he bemoaned the political interference in the police service.
Martin Kpebu explained that his client was accused of communicating with the alleged coup plotters, who according to the government were plotting to destabilise the country through a coup lot.
