According to the president, the project happens to be part of the “Ghana Hospital Project” initiated by the Government of Ghana, in 2008, and executed by EUROGET De-Invest S.A of Egypt.
The 100-Bed Capacity Ga East Municipal Hospital, situated at Atomic, Kwabenya, was originally proposed for Madina but due to unavailability of land, the project was moved to its current location at Atomic in the Ga East Municipality.
The state-of-the-art hospital comprises various blocks such as Administration, Outpatient, Pharmacy, Medical Service, Physiotherapy, Mother Housing, Mortuary, Laboratory & Radiology, Emergency & Casualty, Surgical Suite, Inpatient Wards 36 & 40, and OBS.
According to a ModernGhana report filed on July 27, 2019 and titled 100-bed Capacity For Ga East Municipal Hospital nears completion — MCE, the actual construction works began during Ex-President Mahama's administration in 2015.
The project was however continued by His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo when he assumed power in January 2017.
In other news, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released a list of 51 people, they claim to be family and friends in President Nana Akufo-Addo's government.
The NDC has for a very long time accused President Akufo-Addo of running a family and friends government.
According to the NDC, Akufo-Addo's government is the most nepotistic government ever in the history of Ghana.
