Pastor arrested for forcing girls into prostitution

A Nigerian pastor has been apprehended in France for trafficking girls from his home country and forcing them to engage in prostitution.

Among the many things, the pastor, whose name was given as Stanley Omoregie, is also being accused of running a trafficking and prostitution syndicate.

He is alleged to have trafficked several girls from Nigeria to Lyon in France and later forced them into prostitution.

When questioned by the police about the crime, Pastor Stanley Omoregie is reported to have said that he was only trying to help his country people.

The French police investigators also have him on tape describing the type of girls he wants to be brought to him from Nigeria.

Most of the girls the pastor trafficked, live in his apartment and they are made to pay monthly rent though they do not have working permits.

Per a report by Pulse.com.gh, the pastor was arrested together with 23 others and faces up to 10 years imprisonment if found guilty.

In other news, Ghanaian gospel musician and entrepreneur, Enoch Blessing Acquah, popularly known as 'EBA', has stated that it is not demonic for gospel musicians to engage in fashionistic lifestyles.
