The ‘family and friends’ agenda runs in every government – Asiedu Nketia confesses

The general secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has disclosed that the ‘family and friend’ agenda is present in all governments.

According to him, the 'family and friends appointments' in the Akufo-Addo government is disproportionate as they outnumber other governments.

He added that Akufo-Addo is not the only president running a government full of relatives and cronies but the number of family and friends he superintends over is unprecedented.

“Akufo-Addo is only using his power of appointment to serve his personal and family interest. Yes, I admit Akufo-Addo is not the only president to appoint his family and friends into government but our problem is that the list is just too much and breeds corruption,” Asiedu Nketia said,

Asiedu Nketiah said the Akufo-Addo deceived Ghanaians of not running his government with his friends and family.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released a list of 51 people, they claim to be family and friends in President Nana Akufo-Addo's government.

The NDC has for a very long time accused President Akufo-Addo of running a family and friends government.

According to the NDC, Akufo-Addo's government is the most nepotistic government ever in the history of Ghana.
