Vice President Bawumia's home burgled by robbers

- Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia's home in Walewale has been robbed

- The robbers broke into the house while going on a robbery spree in the area

- The police have confirmed the arrest of four people suspected to be part of the gang

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has reportedly suffered a robbery attack in his private residence in Walewale in the North East region.

According to reports sighted by YEN.com.gh, the robbery attack happened over the last weekend of November 2 and 3, 2019.

Myjoyonline reported that the robbers got access into the vice president's house by breaking a part of the wall.

The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the incident saying four other houses were also attacked on the same night by the same suspects.

The police also confirmed the arrest of four people suspected to be part of a gang that went on the robbing spree.

Meanwhile, Minority MPs have claimed over 1,400 SHS students got pregnant in the 2018/2019 academic year.

According to the MPs, President Akufo-Addo's implementation of Free SHS is the cause of the pregnancies

The MPs made the claim at a press conference addressed by Ranking Member on Parliament’s Education Committee, Peter Nortsu.
