Okada love: Newly wed couple ride home on bike after their wedding

A Nigerian couple have become internet sensations after photos from their wedding in Rivers state in which they are captured using a motorbike to go home, went viral on social media.

When it comes to having the perfect wedding day to remember, people are different views on what should be made available for their special day to be complete.

While some will rather go for the grandiose plans of holding big receptions and riding in flashy cars, this Rivers couple who recently wedded in Bonny Island, opted for something simpler.

In the photos currently trending on social media, the couple are seen going home after the reception on a bike. With the husband in control of the wheels, the bride hops onto the bike happily and they are seen riding off.

Twitter user, Pepple Medlyn Tonye shared the photos and captioned it: "This couple got married over the weekend in Bonny Island, Rivers State and the husband drove his wife home afterwards. I love how happy the bride seems and how proud the husband looks. May God bless their union... The marriage starts after the wedding. Simplicity does it best."

An elderly couple who have been married since 1967, recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. The couple whose names are yet to be identified, carried out a photoshoot to mark their big day.
