Bob Marley earns $20million even in death; details emerge

38years after the demise of the legendary reggae singer Bob Marley, he has been ranked to be part of the top-earning dead celebrities in the world.

Bob Nesta Marley bags a gross earning of $20 million annually from his numerous musical works, his House of Marley products including headphones, speakers and turntables.

He is noted for producing timeless reggae tunes like 'One Love', 'No Woman No Cry', 'Africa Unite', 'Redemption Song' and Natural Mystic among others. Even in death, the works of Bob Marley still lives on.

In the latest annual listing of top-earning dead celebrities, American business magazine Forbes, reported that as at October 1, 2019, Bob Marley had rigged in an amount of $20 million, which formed his gross earning.

Forbes Magazine noted that it calculates its yearly listing based on data from Nielsen Music, IMDBPro and interviews with industry insiders. Fees for agents, managers and lawyers are not deducted.

In 1976 Bob Marley survived an assassination attempt by three gunmen at his home in Hope Road in Jamaica. He was diagnosed with acral lentiginous melanoma - a form of skin cancer spreading from under a nail of his toe- in 1977.

The legendary musician later died as a result of the cancer in 1981 at the Cedars Of Lebanon Hospital in Miami.
