Year of Return: Steve Harvey brings Family Feud Show to Ghana

Renowned American comedian, Steve Harvey, will be bringing his award-winning game show 'Family Feud' to Ghana in 2020.

According to reports, producers of 'Family Feud' have agreed to broadcast the show in April 2020 after filming in South Africa in January.

The show will see two families or groups of friends competing to win ultimate cash prizes.

“As Rapid Blue, we are totally thrilled to be bringing this light-hearted and comedic entertainment to local audiences, especially hosted by someone of Steve Harvey’s stature and passion for our continent. We are equally honored to be working with TV3,” a statement by Kee-Leen Irvine, Executive Producer of the show said.

The team is currently searching for teams of confident, bubbly, funny and entertaining individuals who have the ability to predict the most common responses to survey questions about the warm and fascinating culture, thoughts and behaviours of fellow Ghanaians, which is the foundation for a whole lot of fun and laughs.

Steve Harvey stated that bringing the show to Africa has been a longtime dream since 2010.

“I believe Family Feud will become a household name for local South African and Ghanaian families. And this is just the beginning of Africa. I expect this show to lead to multiple media and business projects in and throughout the continent,” Mr Harvey said.

In other news, 38 years after the demise of the legendary reggae singer Bob Marley, he has been ranked to be part of the top-earning dead celebrities in the world.

Bob Marley bags a gross earning of $20 million annually from his numerous musical works, his House of Marley products including headphones, speakers and turntables.

He is noted for producing timeless reggae tunes like 'One Love', 'No Woman No Cry', 'Africa Unite', 'Redemption Song' and 'Natural Mystic' among others.

Even in death, the works of Bob Marley still lives on.
