YEN.com.gh is in possession of a video in which the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ada, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe Ghansah, is seen sharing chewing gum to colleague MPs.
The motive behind the act is to help them stay awake during the course of the 2020 budget presentation by the minister of finance, Ken Ofori Atta.
The gum was distributed to both sides of the House and Ghansah is seen moving from chair to chair handing out the gums to others who had their arms stretched to receive them.
Per a report by Ghanaweb.com, the move was to prevent half-sleepy MPs from falling asleep so they could pay full attention to the finance minister.
In other news, renowned comedian, Steve Harvey, has rebuked the current generation of African-Americans for refusing to acknowledge his efforts at helping to improve their lives.
In his opinion, the current generation “must have forgotten who I really am”.
The 62-year-old entertainer disclosed that he was subjected to criticisms when he met the then president-elect of the United States of America, Donald Trump, in 2017.
According to him, the younger generation hid behind social media to condemn his actions.
