Another Nigerian, Dara Oladosu, has succeeded and made the country really proud as he got a big job from Twitter.

The announcement of the appointment was made at the tech meetup that was held in Lagos where Jack, the owner of twitter, and other executives were present, TechPoint reports.

During the meeting, the executives were introduced to the Nigerian developer who created a special twitter bot called QuotedReplies.

In talking about how built the special computer programme, he said in October the bot had a massive 40 million impressions.

One of the executives, Kayvon Beykpour, of the short messaging platform was so impressed with Dara’s work that he offered him a job to come build a feature for twitter.

An excited Dara said he never expected the job, that he had only attended the event with the aim of “figuring out more solutions to questions that other attendees may have.”

“I attended the event with the hopes of figuring out solutions to important questions other attendees might have. I also wanted to have a feel of what it’s like to be around the CEO of Twitter. Things went way better than expected,” he said.

The Nigerian developer is also looking forward to making the bot he created a native feature on the app and contributes "towards making sure that Twitter users, and developers who create software using Twitter’s APIs, get easy access to all the useful information that they might need.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Oladosu's bot allows users on the micro messaging site to find quoted comments on tweets without having to go through the hassle of searching the platform.

The bot is a big advancement on the ‘retweet with comment’ feature that the social media platform introduced some years ago which allows user to quote a tweet with their comment.
