He is on record to have vigourously campaigned for an end to colonial rule across Africa as well as the political unification of the continent.

In other news, the minister of finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, has revealed that the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will continue to have a private firm to team up with it regardless of the cancellation of the deal with the Power Distribution Services (PDS).
Presenting the 2020 budget statement in Parliament, he disclosed that the government is interested in learning from past mistakes with respect to the PDS deal.
According to him, there is a need for a private partner to team up with Ghana’s major power distribution company in order to make it more viable.
Ofori-Atta explained that there is a long-term plan to create a power sector that is equipped to meet the needs of Ghanaian households and businesses.
