Shatta Wale and Samini are considered as bitter rivals now but a throwback photo has popped up showing there were friends in the early days of their careers as musicians.

Shatta Wale and Samini have been bitter rivals for the best part of the last decade with each of them recording hitting at each other in diss songs.

But it has not always been animosity between the two. They were very good friends or partners at least.

A throwback photo has popped up showing when Shatta Wale and Samini, the Bandana and Batman respectively, used to be very close.

In the photo sighted by YEN.com.gh, the two could be seen seated together. With headsets on, they looked to be listening something important..

The photo which is obviously from the time Samini and Shatta Wale were known as Batman and Bandana, has caused nostalgia among some social media users.

@dennisnana_ reminded us of their old names: "Their names were bandana and batman(B..B) but now they called SHATTA WALE N SAMINI (S..S)."

@bis_kloset25 said: "Eeiiii see Shatta's stunners. Asem oo, God is good.

@itz_eben_tt talked about Shatta Wale's spectacles: "You see the dark shade."

@queen_adwoak brought the Dansoman connection: "Bandana and Batman major #tbt names. Dansoman and seven great boys boys."
