Jerome Jawoko, a fisherman from Masasa Landing Site in Jinja East, Uganda has obtained funds for his wedding by being 'bizarrely' creative.
He faked his death and got sympathisers to contribute to his burial ceremony which he rather channelled into his wedding.
Africacelebrities.com reports that Jerome decided to take the bold step after several attempts by him to obtain funds proved futile.
Jerome had put up meetings with his family members for them to assist him financially towards his wedding but they did not support him in any way.
It was indicated that most of them did not turn up and the few who did, came up with excuses.
The next step was to create a WhatsApp group and add some family members who were in good standing. This attempt also fell on the rocks as the family members left the group one after the other.
After every attempt refused to work, Jerome, together with his two accomplices, Okumu Achak and Peter Mpengere decided to organize a funeral for him.
It was said that in just the first day of breaking the news of his death, they were literally stunned as they accrued close to GHC9000 from the very people who had refused to contribute to the wedding.
Meanwhile, young and fast-rising artiste in Ghana, Talaat Yarky, has taken social media by storm when he made a gargantuan list of the qualities he wants in his future wife.
Nobody is absolutely sure if Talaat Yarky's list is what he definitely wants to go with or might decide to compromise on some of them.
It is reported that Talaat says he would put a diamond ring on the finger of his wife.
