He was remanded into police custody by the Kaneshie Magistrate court and has been kept at the ministries police station since.
The Criminal Division of the Accra High Court, however, refused the bail application by the accused police officer, saying it was premature.
The court said because he is a Senior Police Officer and two steps away from becoming an IGP, he would interfere with the investigation.
The court also ordered Dr Agordzo to stop granting media interviews henceforth.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Dr. Benjamin Agordzo, who was alleged to be a part of a coup to destabilise the state, broke his silence over the matter.
According to him, the allegations leveled against him would neither gag him or break him down.
Emerging from the Kaneshie District Court where he was arraigned on the morning of Wednesday, November 6, 2019, he vowed to defend his name to the end.
