He added that those who do so have been cursed.
“Curse is on you those who pay tithe with money. Christians who pay tithe with money have been cursed. It is against the word of God to pay tithe with money”
Speaking on Kumasi based Angel FM, he stated that there is no blessing in paying tithe with money saying God does not recognize and accept money as tithe.

Giving a Biblical backing, he quoted Proverbs 3:9-10 cautioning all those who have been using money as tithe to desist or incur the wrath of God
“Give honour to the Lord with your wealth, and with the first-fruits of all your increase: So your store-houses will be full of grain, and your vessels overflowing with new wine”.
He added that God ordered Jews to pay tithe to him after their harvest and not money”.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the senior pastor of Day Star Christian Center, Sam Adeyemi, has reignited the debate about tithe paying being compulsory and whether or not failure to pay as a Christian is a sin.
Pastor Sam Adeyemi firmly stated that ''no Christian should feel guilty for not paying tithe'' while noting that many men of God make tithing look mandatory, a situation that puts fear in their followers to go to all out to find the money for the church.
The renowned pastor is the latest to add his voice to the contentious issue about tithing not being compulsory for Christians and failing to do so will not incur the wrath of God.
