79-year-old celebrity actress, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, has recently revealed several ordeals she had to go through in her personal life behind the flashing lights of the cameras.
Pulse.com.gh reports that the actress had a very terrible life but kept moving on through the tough times.
One of the most devastating experiences was when the actress was robbed, beaten, blindfolded and forcefully slept with by a gang of men at her old age of 65.
Taiwo Ajai-Lycett said in an interview that she did not allow that to put her down at all as she quickly moved on from the horrific experience.
Reports indicate that shortly after toughening through life, the popular actress won one of her biggest accolades in life when she was the recipient of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
Before all of this happened, Ajai-Lycett had suffered since she was a young child.
At the age of just 15, she got pregnant with her first child. Life became highly unbearable for her when she had to live on her own just a year after her getting pregnant.
According to the Ajai-Lycett, though she did not know where life was going to lead her or how she would survive, she never lost hope.
She says she always believed she would get a good education and become a lawyer even in those darkest moments.
As if that was not enough, just when life wanted to get good to her when she got married at 29, the actress revealed that things fell apart once again.
Her husband David Akinduro turned out to be highly abusive and she had to flee. She recalled that long after that experience, she married a sweet man by name Thomas Lycett.
As life would have it, he also died not long after.
