She launched her career with much success. Her very first performance was in 2012 as part of Lynx Entertainment’s girl band D3. The band released a number of well-performing songs such as Gyani Gyani and Good Girls Gone bad. The band, however, split in 2013 because of the different educational pursuits of individual band members.

After the split, MzVee started her solo career. She released her debut song Borkor Borkor in the first month of 2014. She released her second song, Natural Girl, shortly after. Natural Girl became an instant hit. The song won the Unsung Artiste Award in the Ghana Music Awards of 2014.
