A Mapo Customary Court presided over by judge Chief Ademola Odunade has recently dissolved a marriage between a man whose wife, a supposed 'prophetess' has continually cheated on him.
It also came out that the woman, Mojisola, was also a drunkard who could stay outside for weeks without returning home.
At the court, the husband Abiodun Ganiyu narrated that life has become unbearable for him because of the behaviour of his wife. He pleaded that the court dissolves the marriage between him and his wife.
According to him, Mojisola has been cheating and has been bold enough to introduce her partners to him on many occasions.
Abiodun Ganiyu went on to further explain that returning from one of her escapades, his wife came back claiming she was ordained as a prophet in her church and was in a trance for 10 days.
He said that did not change her the least bit as she kept getting worse and worse. In his own words, "she would return home mostly heavily drunk. “When I could no longer bear the agony, I reported her to her parents to caution her, but it was all to no avail."
The woman, Mojisola, after hearing all the claims that have been levelled against her was honest when it was her turn to speak.
She accepted she had indulged in all the various acts mentioned but pleaded that the court keeps them together since she has no bearing in life.
The judge had none of that and ordered for the dissolution of the marriage which has lasted 22 years. All the six children they had together have been fully handed over to Abiodun Ganiyu, the husband.
