Our manifesto: This is what YEN.com.gh believes in
Ghanaian international musician Fuse ODG has descended heavily on Mz Gee for inviting him to ‘pull’ Shatta Wale down.
He embarrassed the radio presenter who had called him on the phone during a live studio discussion to talk purposely about the news that Shatta Wale had been nominated for Grammys.
In the audio heard by YEN.com.gh, Fuse ODG disappointed Mz Gee by not discussing the subject but rather tell her how the topic does not make any sense.
According to him, it was senseless for such a conversation to be held instead of praising Shatta Wale for the nomination.
He also lamented bitterly about how Ghanaians never want to support their own but always on the lookout to pull those who make the effort down.
Mz Gee, sounding very embarrassed, tried to twist the topic for Fuse ODG to comment but he still did no and went on attacking her.
“I don’t see why you are having this discussion. Did you call me to discredit Shatta Wale? Why are Ghanaians like that? Instead of supporting your own you always think of bringing your own down and this doesn’t make sense,” YEN.com.gh heard Fuse ODG screaming over the phone.
The line then went dead and it is obvious Fuse OGD cut the call out of disappointment and anger.
This follows brouhaha that Shatta Wale has been nominated in the 2019 Grammys because of Beyoncé.
The nomination has been possible because he was featured on Beyoncé’s Lion King Album on the song ‘Already’.
But some people whom Shatta Wale has described as “haters” say nominating Beyonce does not mean that Shatta Wale has been nominated too.
This has caused so much controversy and now Fuse ODG has also defended Shatta Wale.
