Veteran and popular highlife musician, Daniel Amakye Dede, has sued Trigmatic for defamation and demanding damage of GHC1m.
Trigmatic is reported to have said Amakye Dede does not write his own songs but employs the services of a ‘ghostwriter’ who puts together the beautiful songs he has to his name.
In an exclusive interview with Hitz FM’s Nuella Yalley, the highlife legend said the statements by the rapper had lowered his personal image.
According to Amakye Dede, Trigmatic statement has affected his reverence and esteem before right-thinking members of society both locally and internationally.
He added that he found Trigmatic’s comment very insulting and so decided to head for the courts.
Amakye Dede is also convinced the “ill-motive, pull-him-down” comments made by Trigmatic is part of a grand scheme to rubbish his achievements.
“He will prove to me who writes my songs for me in court. I won't allow him to use me as a scapegoat,” the serious highlife legend stressed.
Meanwhile, former UTV presenter, Maame Yeboah Asiedu, has revealed why she left the station for Adom TV.
She said she is too big to be sacked that he tendered in her resignation letter.
