Joseph Boakye Danquah stated that through digitalization and the economic team, Bawumia has managed to formalize the economy of Ghana, making it buoyant.
He, therefore, called on Ghanaians to be thankful for having an economic gem like Dr Bawumia serving us Ghana's current Vice President.
The NPP Chairman affectionately called JB, said we all have to be thankful that we have a capable person like Dr Bawumia who has taken charge and made sure we are formalizing the economy by digitalizing it.
According to him, the position being taken by Dr Bawumia and his team would lessen the burden of the nation in terms of servicing loans in the future.
"Ghana's economy is growing and there is even a projection that it will even grow faster. If we borrow less, the rippling effect would be that we would be servicing less loans", he noted.
In other news, National Democratic Congress MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has revealed that government will spend a whooping ¢9.2 million to relocate the passport office at Ridge, a suburb in Accra, to allow for the construction of the national cathedral.
The MP who expressed his displeasure by the amount of money to be spent on the relocation of the passport office said government should put the country’s scarce resources into good use for the people.
The ranking member on the Foreign Affairs Committee said it is better for government to channel the amount into solving some of the challenges bedeviling the Free SHS programme.
