Currently gaining attention on social media is a photo of former President Rawlings kneeling before an elder at a funeral he attended.
Our Manifesto: This is what YEN.com.gh believes in
Former President Jerry John Rawlings has an image of a no-nonsense man who will not hesitate to tell you his mind at any point in time.
For people of such nature, there is a tendency for others to tag them as arrogant or unfriendly.
But it looks like former President Rawlings may even be humble than the average man if a new photo of him bowing a funeral is anything to go by.
In the photo sighted by YEN.com.gh, the former president is seen kneeling on his left knee as he greeted an elder at a funeral.
Resting his right arm on his right thigh, Rawlings had his left arm on the elder's knee. Holding Rawlings' arm, the elder could be seen in a talking mode with the former president.
It is not known exactly where the photo was taken was held but from the setting, it looks a like a funeral in the Volta region.
The photo of Rawlings kneeling comes just a few weeks after a photo of him and former President John Mahama at a funeral sparked rumours that Rawlings was displeased with Mahama.
In the photo, Rawlings seemed to have ignored Mahama as he looked somewhere else while they sat together at the funeral.
Many were those who described Rawlings posturing as unfriendly but he later denied having any issues with Mahama.
Clearly, this photo shows Rawlings is not disrespectful, arrogant, or unfriendly as the photo with Mahama seemed to suggest.
