Founder and leader of Rev. Obofour Ministries has fired back at officials of TMA for accusing his men of assault on some of their staff.
According to the popular preacher, his men were rather beaten and assaulted, resulting in their shirts getting soaked in blood.
In a video that was sighted by YEN.com.gh, Rev, Obofour expressed disappointment at the TMA officials for their claims.
After showing his men and their shirts soaked in blood, he said "these are my so-called 'macho men' that they said have assaulted their workers."
"In Ghana, visitors enjoy more freedom than citizens. These are the macho men they are claiming I used to assault some people," he added.
Rev. Obofour rather made certain accusations, claiming that his men were beaten even though one of them was severely ill.
Social media users, however, expressed their opinion after watching Rev. Obofour's account of the incident:
@gloriadarpoh agreed with Rev. Obofour: "There's some truth in what he's saying..why didn't they ask for this permit when he was building the church?"
@brown_bag_legend_one claimed he doubts if his men were beaten: "They beat them ?? So that’s blood on them? Nothing showing on their faces. ?? Ei."
@gilly_sam84 had this to say: "Jux blood stains..I cannot see the wounds."
@bowmanclifford23 commented: "You time go come....just stay humble."
Deducing from the comments, it is evident that Ghanaians are divided over the on-going saga between Rev. Obofour and the Tema Metropolitan Assembly.
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh has published a story about the incident after reports revealed that Rev. Obofour's men got arrested.
Following the alleged assault on some TMA staff, five men believed to be bodyguards of Rev. Obofour were arrested by the police.
