Our Manifesto: This is what YEN.com.gh believes in
Remember when Malis and Sasha Obama appeared as minions alongside the former US President Barrack Obama and the former First Lady Mitchelle Obama when they posed for family photos?
Sasha who is now 18 and Malia 21-years-old, were half their parents’ height in family photos when Obama was first elected president in 2009 but that is no longer the case.
The sisters looked all grown up as they stood by the former president, 58, and the former first lady, 55, in their Thanksgiving family photo for 2019 shared on Mitchelle's Twitter handle.
The sisters have grown considerably taller in the never-before-seen family picture shared to celebrate Turkey day and everyone is looking quite fashionable.
Obama, chilling in a buttondown shirt and some khaki slacks, Sasha's glowed in a slender black dress, Malia beamed in a lilac frock and Michelle had an empire dress with sewn-on patches.
“From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!” read the caption.
The picture was reportedly taken near their home in Washington, DC, last spring just hours before Sasha went to her high school prom with her high school classmate Chris Milton.
Sasha reportedly began her freshman year at the University of Michigan in August 2019, and Malia is almost mid-way into her junior year at Harvard University.
This is Michelle’s second Thanksgiving outside of the White House since her husband’s presidency ended in 2017 but the former FLOTUS is still actively involved in US democracy.
She launched her second When We All Vote campaign on November 7, 2019, and she is on a mission to get people registered to vote ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
In other stories, through decisive resolve, a former buff-loaf popularly referred to as ‘bofrot' seller, has made desirable strides after it emerged that he had become a successful businessman. Although his name is yet to be known, his educational and business laurels have proceeded him. The former street hustler is reported to have graduated from university with a degree.
And not just that, sources confirm he has also become a thriving business owner who recently purchased a new car.
