Award-winning highlife musician Kidi has revealed that he intentionally kept his son away from the media for 3 years.
According to the Lynx Entertainment artiste, the judgemental nature of Ghanaians did make him feel comfortable telling his fans about his son.

In an interview with Accra-based radio station 3FM, Kidi explained circumstances that led to his plan of hiding his son from the public all this the 'Thunder' hitmaker confessed.
Kidi recalled that he had the baby boy a few months after the MTN Hitmaker competition, denying that he was popular at the time.
"Everything happened before I blew up, before the fame and this was something I decided I wasn't going to tell anybody so I kept it on the low," the 'Thunder' hitmaker confessed.
"I was scared to share that I have a son knowing how my fellow Ghanaians are. Africans in general are very judgemental and I didn't know how people were going to take the news," he added.

Kidi noted that he decided to be mentally ready before letting the public know that he has a son with a lady.
However, the singer stated that he did not think to tell Ghanaians at the time since it might have affected his music career.
Kidi's comments follow the sharing of his son's photos on his Instagram page in celebration of the boy's third birthday.
In a publication by YEN.com.gh, Kidi expressed admiration and love for his handsome-looking son.
Minutes after he shared the photos, social media got buzzing as it was the first time he revealed the identity of the 3-year-old.
Meanwhile, Kidi revealed that his 'baby mama' lives abroad with their son even though she is in the country currently.
When asked if he is still dating her, Kidi confessed that he and the lady are no more dating even though they are friends and work together in taking care of their son.
