Born a male, 35-year-old Ghanaian transgender, Maxwell Okyere Opoku now Angel Maxine, tells her story in an attempt to explain a decision to become a woman.
Maxine explains the complexities of 'her' paradigm or mindset that tells 'her' she is a woman trapped in a man’s body.
From Koforidua in the Ashanti region, 35-year-old Maxine attended Ghana Secondary School and later studied Food and Beverage Management at Koforidua Polytechnic.
Maxine proceeded to pursue a course in Food Safety and Nutrition at the University of Ghana and then later at the Regional Maritime University.
The Ghanaian male-turned-female sat for an interview at Okay FM with Halifax Ansah Addo.
Maxine reveals he has been hiding his true identity right from childhood until he turned 32 years when he decided to own his sexuality and personality.
In the interview, Maxine also disclosed he still has his male reproductive organ when he was asked whether or not he has a manhood.
