Outspoken journalist and host of Egyaso Gyaso, on UTV says President Nana Akufo-Addo is surrounded by sycophants who are not truthful to him.

According to journalist who is also well known as Vim Lady, these ‘sycophants’ must all be sacked by President Akufo-Addo before it is too late.

She opined that, Akufo-Addo will lose the 2020 elections because of the selfish persons around him.

"Sycophants have invaded Nana Addo's campaign. People who are pretending to like Nana Addo and his government...Nana Addo if you are not careful and you don't sack these sycophants and leave everything in their care, you will be the only one going into opposition," she advised.

He warned the President to learn lessons to what happened to former president John Mahama in 2016.

They[ sycophants] did the same thing to Mahama...Some of his ministers were pretending to be on his side but now in opposition, no one is following him. The only people loyal to him now are his wife (Lordina), Ibrahim Mahama and his brothers. Where are the rest? They have abandoned him and looking for seats."

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that President Nana Akufo-Addo on Friday, November 29 cut sod for the construction of the Pwalugu Multipurpose Dam and Irrigation Project in the Northern Region.

The project which is estimated to cost $993m, will be executed in 50 months. The construction of the dam is in fulfilment of President Akufo-Addo's pledge he made to the people of the north to avert the perennial flooding caused by the spillage of the Bagre Dam.
