- A fire has gutted the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) head office located at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra.

The Ghana Revenue Aauthority (GRA) head office annex, located at Circle in the heart of Accra caught fire today Sunday, December 1, 2019, at around 9 am.

According to several social media reports sighted by YEN.com.gh, some floors of the offices were seen burning, with thick smoke coming out of the building.

The fire is said to have started with the black smoke coming out of the one particular office up the building before it flamed up into a thick fire.

In a video shared by Twitter user, Nana Yaasika, personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service were spotted battling the fire.

The GRA is one of the most vital state institutions in the country, coming first as the institution that generates more money for the state.

Though the damages have not yet been recorded, a single loss of document or property may come as a big blow to the revenue-generating agency.

Meanwhile, fire recently gutted the offices of Zylofon Media located at the Lagos Avenue in East Legon.

In a publication by YEN.com.gh, some portion of the ultra-modern building got raged with fire but the report revealed that the damages were minimal.
