The 2020 parliamentary and presidential elections will be keenly contested between the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

YEN.com.gh has sighted photos of branded LPG cylinders of the two big political parties in Ghana.

From the photos, it is speculated that the two parties are going to share these cylinders to their members ahead of the 2020 general elections.

The National Petroleum Authority (NPA), boss, Alhassan Tampuli, is said to implement the Cylinder Re-circulation Model (CRM) in the country.

Ghana currently has about 650 LPG refilling stations nationwide.

A number of gas explosions have been recorded in the last five years with Ghanaians calling for better handling of LPG.

Government is, however, introducing the Cylinder Re-circulation Model to help reduce such explosions and enhance safety.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that President Nana Akufo-Addo on Sunday, December 1, 2019, announced a withdrawal of the infamous December 17 referendum.

He explained that the decision to put the December 17 referendum on hold is because of the divided public opinion over the matter.
