Becca is a popular name for the famous Ghanaian songwriter, humanitarian and singer Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong. She is one of the most successful and multitalented female artists. She has made significant progress on the continent of Africa and others too. Her popularity has been brought about by her good heart, great vocals and outstanding voice. She was born on August 15, 1984 in Kumasi, the Ashanti region, West Africa Ghana.

Life and music career

Becca grew up in a Christian setting with her family. She was very dedicated and active in church and school activities. She particularly had a lot of interest in showcasing her vocal at school events. She attended morning star and Wesley Girls’ high school growing up and later traveled abroad for her higher education at Croydon College in London.

After her graduation from Croydon College, she gained full qualifications to become a childcare and education worker. She managed to further her education at the Ghana institute of management and public institutions. (GIMPA).

She is not just a singer

Becca is arguably the best female singer alive, but that’s not all; she is an amazing actress and excellent guitarist too. One of the movies she featured in is Yvonne Nelson’s, "If Tomorrow Never Comes." Becca is also a wonderful mother. Her love for her kids motivated her into establishing an organization dealing with fundraising to assist children affected with HIV/AID in Ghana.

She is proud of her Africa origin

Becca has always maintained an African outlook while attending functions and when during her music performances in Ghana and abroad. This is clearly seen in her outfit and hairstyle. She allows her music style and mode of dressing to be largely influenced by her upbringing as an African.

This was also seen when she attended the 2015 Global Citizen Festival in New York to represent Ghana. She never showed any fear of showcasing her identity as African through her dress code.
