On day one of his tour, the President visited areas like, Madina Zongo, Dome, Fafraha, Ngleshie Amanfrom, Nsakina, Pokuase, amongst others in the capital.

Speaking at a durbar organized by the chiefs and people of Ga West, Akufo-Addo reiterated his government’s commitment to transform Ghana.

According to the NPP flag bearer, he did not win political power to lie to the people but instead to fulfill all the campaign promises he made in 2016.

Everything I said I will do I am doing. I didn’t come to lie to anyone in Ghana. That is not the reason why I came but to work and transform the country with the help of my appointees,” he said.

“In 2020, all the things we need to do for the citizens to have comfort will be done. We are going to make sure inner-city roads, main trunk roads [are constructed].”

He also promised the people of Accra he constructs roads all roads in the region.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the Bank of Ghana’s 2018 annual report has revealed that more than GH¢153 million was used in printing cedi notes.

The central bank’s report gave the breakdown as follows: the total cost of printing was around GH¢146.7 million while an amount of GH¢2 million was paid as agency fees with more than GH¢4 million spent on other expenses.
