Information available to YEN.com.gh indicates that a Ghanaian international footballer, Clifford Aboagye, has been involved in a car accident.
The accident occurred on Sunday, December 1, 2019, on the Avenida 5 de Febrero road in the city of Querétaro, Mexico.
Aboagye, who plays for Gallos Blancos, suffered the accident when his car was rammed by a pick-up truck from behind.
He, however, escaped unhurt but security and medical officials were immediately deployed to the scene.
It was concluded that none of the occupants of the vehicles involved in the crash required medical attention.
Per a report by pulse.com.gh, traffic in the area was however affected for a while and Aboagye was soon moved to the Public Ministry to give his statement.
Aboagye was part of the Black Satellites team that placed third in the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup and his splendid display won him the Bronze Ball of the tournament.
In other news, YEN.com.gh has learned that about 150 students of the Accra High School have been admitted at the Adabraka Polyclinic. This was after they complained of stomach pains after they ate meals prepared by the school.
They were sent to the clinic at dawn on Monday, December 2, 2019, after suspicions of food poisoning and diarrhoea became rife on campus.
Most of the students are in their final year and are lodging in a private hostel operated by the school.
Per a report by 3news.com, a parent of one of the affected students revealed that he received a phone call from the authorities asking him to settle the bills of his child who was hospitalized.
